Bishop Dr. J.E. Mkama
Dr. Mkama is the Senior Pastor and founder of Deliverance Church - City of Heroes, Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, which he founded in 2012. He is married to Neema Mkama and has served as a Pastor for over 28 years now, he serves as a local church Pastor in Dar Es Salaam city, a city of more than 6 million people. He is also a General Overseer of the Deliverance Church International also known as Tanzania Deliverance Church in Tanzania, He oversees churches in more than 10 regions of the country. He is a church planter, he planted and pastored several churches in the lake zone where many lives were transformed through his ministry plus many achievements and progress. Dr. Mkama is known for his ability to teach the Word of God with simplicity and wisdom. He brings a unique approach to the way the church is done and he is passionate about bringing a clear message of the gospel of Christ to people who have not heard. Dr. Mkama is a co-founder of the ministry of Deliverance Church International Tanzania.
Dr. Mkama and his family desire to see families come to Christ and be taught the Word of God. It is God's Word that has the power to change lives and to build and restore families. Family ministry including ministry to men, women, students, and children is the heartbeat of DCI Dar and of our pastor and staff. Bishop Mkama has a Doctorate Degree in Ministry (DMin). They have five children namely Hope Joel who is one of our Pastors, Joy, Gloria, Joan, and Jesse.
